(Rhytidectomy) Facelift is a procedure that restores a more youthful contour to the face by improving the typical signs of facial aging such as skin laxity, jowling, loss of a sharp neckline, excess fatty tissue of the neck and loss of volume of the central and upper face, heaviness of the lower face, and deepening of folds around the mouth. Treatment of the neck is almost always performed as part of the facelift but can be performed separately.
